Who we are0
Women In French In Scotland is an informal network of Scottish-based academics at all levels from postgraduates to professors. Working within the broadly defined field of French studies – although not always within French departments – all share common interests in the contributions that women have made to the history, society, language, politics, cinema, film or literature of France and Francophone countries; or else in the representation and treatment of women and issues of gender in these domains. Activities include an annual conference, which provides a forum for the supportive discussion of papers presented, and is open to UK and overseas academics alike.
